Details

It's a 1974 Pontiac 455ci motor with a 670cfm Holley Street Avenger up on top. The engine was completely rebuilt about 15,000 miles ago and still runs real strong. This thing has so much low end torque, it's scary. Shifts at around 2100-2200 RPM normal driving using my TH350 trans with a kickass shift kit (chirps the tires when shifting if you let it rev up a little) and a nice B&M shifter. Also it's the 2.73 posi rear which is real nice to have.

It's black as you can probably see. I'm not sure if I like the purple and blue stripes or not, although it really has grown on me for some very strange reason. Let me know if you like them or if you hate them!

Biggest expense so far: AR rims and some new tires. 15x7 up front and 15x10 on the rear. Other than that, other expenses include replacing every freakin' imaginable part on the thing, and adding some too...such as: master cylinder, fuel pump, carburetor, key cylinder, horns, radiator, trans cooler, alternator, battery, cables/belts/hoses (like that stupid radiator hose...$60!!!), K&N air filter element, front disc calipers, engine fan and clutch, reverse light switch, door handle, I could literally go on for another line or two or three, I just forget. I guess that is the price I have to pay, you know, having an old car like this. I like to do most all of the work myself, so at least that saves me a lot of $$$.

Stereo is an Alpine 9815 (mp3-cd) pumping through an awesome sounding pair of Infinity Kappa 693.5i on the rear deck and little 42.5i's in the front. I have a pair of 12" Sony subs in my back seat with a box I made; 1000w amp in the trunk running mono. Trust me, it's enough bass to drive one insane. Some say Sony subs suck. I totally disagree. Maybe it's just my box (sealed, 3/4" particle board--it weighs a ton!), but these are the best sounding subs anyone can ever get for the money.

I mounted the tach inside the dash where the clock used to go, moved the water temp to underneath the head unit, and added a trans temp gauge to the same place. I've also replaced all my instrument panel lights with orange bulbs. They used to be white. Not sure which ones I like better yet. I've also installed the speakers in the console there, mounted a switch for the subs next to the lighter socket, put an LED in the dash for the alarm, and probably a few more things as well...
